SUD affects brain function and behavior, leading to an inability \nto control substance use. The severity of SUD can range from mild to severe, with addiction \nrepresenting the most extreme form. \nTreatment for SUD often includes a combination of behavioral therapies, support groups, and, in \nsome cases, medications to help manage cravings and prevent relapses.
